Raising kids is expensive! They seem to outgrow their clothes overnight. Keeping up can feel impossible.
That’s where God’s Closet comes in.
We want every Spartanburg child to have the clothes they need without it breaking the bank.
A few times each year, we open our doors and invite the community to “shop” completely FREE for children’s clothes.
Whether you’re a parent, grandparents or caring for foster children, you’re welcome here. No forms. No proof of income.
Just clothing for your kids (newborn to teen).

How to Shop at God’s Closet
God’s Closet is like shopping at a regular store except every item is FREE!
To make the experience smooth and fair for everyone:
Each family unit (up to 2 adults) receives 2 plastic shopping bags.
You may also take one large carry-out item (coat, blanket, shoes, etc.).
You’ll have 20 minutes to shop.
Clothing is sorted by size and gender for easy browsing.
Personal strollers are not allowed inside the shopping area (loaner strollers are available).
Please be respectful, honest, and kind. These clothes are for children in need, not for resale.
If you would like to give back to God’s Closet through volunteering your time or giving a monetary donation, we’re always grateful for your support!

God’s Closet is for anyone caring for children—from newborns through teenagers. We accept and distribute children’s clothes, shoes, and bedding only (no adult clothing, toys, car seats, stuffed animals, or other items).
